Late Quaternary Hydroclimate and Environmental History of Lago de Tota (Colombia)

Lago de Tota—Colombia’s largest lake and the second largest in the Andes—serves as an exceptional high-resolution archive of tropical climate history. In February 2023, our field team conducted an extensive coring campaign across the lake and recovered 34 sediment cores. Chapters 1–3 of my dissertation utilize these cores to reconstruct ~35,000 years of hydroclimate variability, lake-level fluctuations, and glacial dynamics in the Northern Andes.
